Director of the Graditz Principal Stud
Siegmund Hintsche was born on the 13th of March 1956. After successfully graduating as an agricultural engineer, he started working as a horse trainer at Radegast stud in 1981 and collected several show jumping achievements up to most advanced levels.
Siegmund Hintsche is qualified as a master of horsemanship for both focus areas classical riding and breeding and husbandry. He is also qualified as a competition and breeding judge and has been the committee chairman (committee of education) at the state association of the Riding and Driving Club Saxony-Anhalt since 2002. His membership of two audit committees (Saxony-Anhalt and Westphalia) for the profession qualified stable hand complements his equestrian career.
From 1994 til 2005 he was the director of the state riding and driving school as well as the performance test station in Prussendorf. From 2005 til 2018 he was the director of the saxon-anhalt state stud Prussendof. Since the 1st of March 2018 Siegmund Hintsche is working as the stud director of the Graditz principal stud besides being the deputy director of the saxon state stud administration.
Assistant of the stud direction
Mr. Klingbeil was born in Wolfhagen (Hesse) in 1987. He completed two Master’s degrees at the Georg-August University in Göttingen in the field’s agricultural science and equine science.
Philipp Klingbeil has extensive experience as a young breeder and voluntary got involved at the Trakehner breed association for the young breeders. Next to his studies he addressed himself the task of preparing and presenting young horses for stallion licensing and broodmare shows with a great deal of commitment.
Since the 1st of December 2017 Philipp Klingbeil is working as the assistant of the Saxon State Stud Administration in the Graditz Principal Stud.
Chief Mare Master of the Graditz Principal Stud
Hans-Joachim Smirek was born on 25th September 1955 in Halle/ Saale. He began his apprenticeship as a stud farm keeper (Gestütswärter) at the former VE Stud Graditz on 1st September 1972. In 1987 Hans-Joachim Smirek became a master of horse breeding and began his work as a mare master (Stutenmeister) at the Stud Graditz.
In the course of the foundation of the Saxon Stud Administration on 1st April 1992, he has been working as a main mare master (Oberstutenmeister) and at the same time as deputy director in Graditz Principal Stud.
In addition to the coordination of the everyday operation, he is mainly responsible for the organization of the mare herd and the keeping of the pension horses. Hans-Joachim Smirek is married and has two adult children.
