The Moritzburg State Stud is located just a few kilometers from Dresden city center. Housed in the former electoral hunting stables, it is part of the Saxon Stud Administration, which also includes the State Technical College for Riding and Driving. The facility has been a commercial enterprise since 2004.

• Offering approximately 80 stallions for breeding, including warm-blooded, heavy warm-blooded, cold-blooded and Haflinger horses in 12 covering and insemination stations in Saxony and Thuringia

• Execution of performance tests for stallions and mares

• Courses at the Saxon State School of Riding and Driving

• Education in the profession Pferdewirt and inter-company education of Pferdewirte from Saxony and Thuringia
